In producing Zóna, DNPS draws from breakbeat and trance in this release. Balancing musicality with groove the track aims to catch both the mind and body of the dancer by being playful and deep at the same time.

The track kicks off with a break beat, which sticks to the track throughout. The groove builds on DNPS’ experience as a drummer but with a twist for the club floor. Zóna builds to a recurring theme composed of ethereal synths washing over the listener, rhythmic pulses of what resembles an electric tabla and two recognisable acid lines that work around a call and answer theme. This is the first release of DNPS, which opts for a 4-to-the-floor kick pattern at peak moments and by this lends itself to the dancing audience.
